| For those of you with Microsoft Excel and who wished to get the most
possible damage out of a synergy spell when they do not have all the necessary skill
points available, for example those who use energy shield, take a look at the following
spreadsheet: Sorceress Skill Optimizations
Thanks to TienJe for developing the first version of the spreadsheet which applied to
fireball only. This version now has several improvements, including supporting all
of the sorceresses synergy spells, average damage instead of simply looking at max damage,
and further error correction when data fields exceed the number of skills available.

| For those of you with Microsoft Excel and a desire to understand how
energy shield actually works as far as real effective hit points, try the following link: Sorceress Effective Hit Points Calculator
After entering your basic statistical information, this spreadsheet will calculate your
total effective hit points for all six primary types of damage and also calculate how much
damage you can take over long period of time, assuming that your energy shield never
drops.
It is based on information and formulas for 1.09 located here: http://home2.pacific.net.sg/~xinhuan/hcsorc/hpmana.html
and adapted to patch 1.11.

I'm going to try to dedicate Thursday for PVM events. Either Ladder or NL rushes,
(1-20) leveling, nightmare cows (25-60) or hell baal runs. (60+) Depending on
turnout and events, we'll see if this can become a regular event.

| PVP Games, Rushes, Baal runs and Cow runs now can be announced in a new "PVP/PVM Matchup"
forum. Make sure to announce events in plenty of time beforehand, and let's get
a few more duels going. Dueling Events will be hosted on a continous basis now.
Currently our only scheduled dueling even is set for Wednesdays:
Every Tuesday, 8:00pm - 9:00pm PST
EST: 10pm-11pm
CST: 9pm-10pm
MNT: 8pm-9pm
Join the 'OP PVPWest' and type .GAMES to see the current dueling game and password. |

| The next project for this website is to compile a comprehensive list of
ALL items of ALL types sorted by class. The idea is to have one single resource that
can be used to compare all possible helms, for example, for a character class, without
having to pull up seperate lists of Unique Helms, Runeword Helms, Normal/Exceptional/Elite
helms, and then look up the number of possible sockets for each ilvl, etc. In
addition, combining the list of possible magic and rare prefixes and suffixes can show
possible helms that can drop as well. See this link for an example of what this would look like. If you
have suggestions on how to improve the format of this list, or want to help compile this
list, please reply in this thread.

Since our membership is still growing, the moderators at PVPWest are going
to try to start regular "Dueling Events." What these will be are guarenteed
times when the PVP Dueling game (Non-ladder) will be up and running. The first event will
be held in a relatively short period of time:
Wednesday, April 20th, 8:00pm - 9:00pm PST
As always, you must be a registered member of the channel to find out the current dueling
game name and password. If you are not registered yet, post in the "New Users"
Registration forum to get added to the bot, then go to the "OP PVPWEST" channel
and type ".games" to see the current game name and password.

PVPWest has officially opened it's doors to the public. Quite a few
notices have been posted on popular Dii sites, and hopefully we'll attract enough
attention to form a serious community in this aged game.
Channel 'OP Pvpwest' is now in lockdown, and since Blizzard destroyed channels as a viable
method of meeting people who are actively playing the game, think of it as basically is a
tool to find the current dueling game name and password ".games" and to locate
other PVPWest members ".allseen".
A few new guides have also been recently added: The Professor's PVP Liberator Full Guide and Stoutwood's PVP Zealot Guide.
Expect to see a few more guides soon, including Tek's Bow'sin and Martial Arts Assassin
builds.

Before PVPWest is promoted everywhere, a few last minute tasks need to be
completed. For the few of you who have been watching, the number of links and guides has
jumped dramatically in the last week. Once www.pvpwest.com is completed with everything to
make this site you're one-stop place for Diablo II information, promotion and non-stop
advertising will begin.
Any additional help in completing guides or mini-guides in
all popular and/or powerful Dii dueling classes would be appreciated, as well as comments or corrections on either any of the existing
guides or reference material on the site.

PvPWest is up and running now, hope you all enjoy the new artwork, (thanks
to Zh for creating them). Duels will be running as members create games. Go to the
'op pvpwest' channel and type .games to see the current dueling game name. Try to join a
pvpwest game and if one doesnt exist, challenge someone to a duel and make one, more
people will join. At first there won't be many games up but as we gain more members they
will become more common. The goal is to eventually have mannored team duels running as
often as possible.
To get access to 'op pvpwest' channel post a message in the Registration / New Users forum
or click on "Application".
